Just as I was planning to go outside and take photos, it suddenly started to rain, turning the day into a very gray one. So much so that I decided to stay home. I wanted to take some pictures from inside my apartment, capturing details that show the rain, like those images where you can see tiny raindrops. I also wanted to photograph some of my cats and my wife peeking out of the apartment window, enjoying the feeling of the rain.

These are little moments that I cherish, and they remind me of when I was a child. I loved it every time it rained because I would go outside to bathe and play until the rain stopped. I would ride my bicycle, which had a plastic cup on the wheel, and when I rode through the puddles, it made a noise like a motorcycle. Well, those were the kinds of things we did as children that were memorable, so to speak.

As an adult, of course everything changes. Between routines, work, or certain jobs, one forgets those small moments of well-being, when nothing else matters, just being yourself with someone else or with your pets, enjoying the day, the sunset, or, as in this case, the rain. And although I couldn't go out, I did enjoy this rainy afternoon at home.

All photographs are my own.
