I wandered for a while around the fishing base near 1830, a restaurant, bar, and entertainment venue in El Vedado. This Havana neighbourhood, by the way, is full of attractions at all hours of the day. For me, the main one today was a stretch of the Malecón to ride my bicycle. That street is as smooth as a bald head basking in the sun. And then there are the smells… I caught the scent of fried and roasted chicken, and freshly baked bread as I pedalled my way there… in fact, I smelled so many things… all of them good, perhaps because I’m experiencing a kind of supernatural opening of my senses, or simply because the levels of smoke and pollution drop drastically on Sundays.
😄

You come across the strangest things on the street… this one, for instance, was a mannequin! Or perhaps one of those pleasure dolls… and there she goes, taking photos of it. 🤣 Picture them on holiday in Havana. There’s always someone dragging an overweight suitcase! And if it’s just a flesh-and-blood person… well then, I’ve planted the doubt in you, haven’t I?

Nothing… the waves.

Nothing… just the sky and a Frigatebird.

And what do you think he was doing as he glided along the... bald?

Shouting to let something out, because if he was singing… oh dear, how awful!

At that moment I thought the sea would suddenly splash him, and that’s why I took the photo there, where it was pounding hard... but with all his shouting… the sea backed off. 😁 That was the timid tap the waves gave there, you could say, a bit afraid…

At the fishing base this man asked me to make him famous. I said, I don’t know… I don’t have a superpower! and I took the photo: If you become famous, you’ll find out right here because they’ll come looking for you.
Here’s my entry for the #Monomad Challenge!
