Our First Christmas in the Countryside...

We moved to the countryside exactly a week before Christmas, and since we're busy with the move and all, I didn't really expect much. However, it was more fun and productive than I expected.

Sadly, I couldn't spend it with my cousins and aunts. Godwyn and his mom live even farther away from us. Although Nicole and her family live in the next municipality, they're also holding a party because she just got her teacher's license. We were invited to go there, but transportation is a problem... and we can't leave our two dogs at home. Arashi is already a grandpa, and he's easily stressed when no one's at home.

My mom prepared some delicious dishes for us to share. We had spaghetti, chicken cordon balls, and buko pie without a crust. She made enough for us to share with some of our neighbors, my aunt's family. my friend, our landlady, and our relatives from my father's side.

This is our relative from my father's side. They live nearby, and they have been helping us clean, garden, and repair stuff in the house. My aunt invited them to the event as well, so we asked them to take the food my mom prepared with them. Later that night, they also came back with more food from my aunt. hahaha Instead of exchanging gifts, we were exchanging food!

It's easier for them to travel around because they ride a motorcycle. There's good public transportation going to our place, but since it's the holiday, it was a little more difficult than usual.

And around 10 in the evening, my friend and her daughter came over. We chatted for a bit, and we gave them some of the food my mom prepared. And they also gave us some food in return. hahaha

Then, on the 25th, our relatives came again. Two of these kids are my godsons, and the others are their siblings. They're all cousins. They came because the kids are helping us prepare the garden, while their father is my father's buddy in fixing the electrical wires, and installing the other appliances... as well as creating some small tables and other things we need.

He's usually busy at work, so he volunteered to help us during the holiday. The kids were also excited to come over again. After working in the garden, we all shared some snacks and enjoyed chatting and playing. Our home in the countryside is very lively!

Of course, I still miss Nicole and Godwyn... so I hope to spend time with them again soon! <3

We're still recovering from all the things that have happened to us, but I'm happy to see my parents happier than in the past weeks. I'm also enjoying living here... It's calm and peaceful. We have a lot of things planned for the future, so hopefully we'll be able to realize them.

Having a great support system really helped us a lot. And we're indeed very lucky to be surrounded by amazing people. I'll end this post here. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! See you around! (^^,)v
