It's the last day of 2025, and I must say this year was one hell of a ride! Despite that, we're now able to celebrate it in our new place. We're literally starting again, and I'm positive that it's for the better.
It was a busy day today. My family and I were doing some chores at home, and also prepared some food to share with family, friends and some neighbors. This time, my mom prepared one of her specialties, "BIKO with caramel and cheese".

✨
In the Philippines, eating something sticky on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will let the good fortune stick with you. It also strengthens the family's bond... the family will stick together.
My mom also made me tuna pasta because I love pasta, and eating something long will give you longevity. There are other traditions that people follow, but these two are the ones we prepared this time. Well, Mama also cooked another dish which she will share the recipe of later on.

When my father brought the food to one of our neighbors, he went home with ths. It's also biko prepared by our neighbor, only with a different topping. hahaha Exchange biko? XD

✨
Then in the afternoon, my aunt (mom's sister), who lives in the next municipality, came and brought us more food, including my favorite from her... lumpia (spring rolls)! She also brought us bananas and other stuff. Aside from my aunt, one of my godsons, Jun Karl, also came bringing some fruits. We also gave them some of the biko and other dishes as well.
Because of these exchanges, we ended up having a bunch of foods on the table...

My father bought that chiffon cake the last time he went to the city, and the non-alcoholic wine was given by my best friend when they visited a few days back.

We had an awesome dinner earlier... Now, we're just chilling while waiting for 2026 to come. The neighborhood has become quite noisy with all the fireworks, but it's not really a great thing for both of our fur babies. They're scared of the big noise, so we'll be busy trying to keep them calm later.
I'm just glad that my family and I are able to settle down in the new place before the year ends. We're manifesting for 2026 to be a much better year!
Happy New Year, everyone! Thanks for being a part of my 2025, and I look forward to engaging more with you all in 2026! I'll probably do a recap and share my goals for next year on my next post... we'll see.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you around! Enjoy the rest of your 2025!
