Ha? Hash brown!
Yeah, how do you like sandwich for breakfast? Would you like a hash brown sandwich, perhaps?
About last month, my sister sent me a reel of a sandwich using two hash browns as an alternative for bread. I told her I want to try it and I did when I finally got to buy a pack hash brown during my last grocery shopping.
I did my own version of it so hush.. and let's get started!
🥔 Hash Brown Sandwich 🥪

Who doesn't like hash brown? It's crunchy and almost like a french fry but in a form of a rectangle patty. Hash brown reminds me of McDonald's but for my recipe, we're going to upgrade it and turn it into a sandwich!
This is probably going to be among the easiest breakfast to make on my list. However, the flipping on the last step could just be the challenging part.
📝 Here's What You'll Need
- 2 Pcs. Hash Brown
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Slice of Square Cheddar Cheese
- 8 to 10 Spinach Leaves
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Ketchup
(Salt, pepper, and ketchup not included in the photo.)
👩🏻🍳 Let's Cook!!!
#1 Add a dash of salt and pepper on the egg before beating. Set aside.
#2 Heat the pan and add some butter. Fry both hash browns until firm and crispy. Set aside.
#3 Then on the same pan, add more butter and spread it on the pan. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan and immediately add the spinach on top, concentrating as much as possible on the middle.
#4 Before the omelette gets fully cooked, put one of the hash browns at the center. It's important to place the hash brown while the omelette still has some wet parts so the hash brown sticks to the omelette. Don't forget to press the hash brown to make it stick better. Wait for the omelette to fully cook.
#5 Once the omelette is cooked, immediately flip the omelette along the hash brown. Do the flipping quick so the hash brown and omelette don't get dismantled.
#6 Now start folding the sides of the omelette towards the center. Press the fold for a few seconds so it stays flat and don't open back.
#7 Put the slice of cheese on top of the folded omelette.
#8 This is optional but you can also add some ketchup on top of the cheese. I'd say it tastes better with ketchup so I suggest you don't omit adding ketchup!
#9 Finally, cover with the second hash brown and press gently but firm so all ingredients stick together.
#10 You can flip the whole sandwich to melt the cheese slightly or you can just let the sandwich sit on the pan for a minute and transfer it on a plate.
And we're done!
You can also wrap it with a paper towel if you want to eat it immediately but the sandwich is still too hot.
Breakfast Just Got Crispier! ✨️

As you have seen, that's just how easy it is to make the sandwich! Basically, it's just frying and stacking all the ingredients together. I was also able to make one for my brother when he visited home one morning. I bet a hash brown sandwich would cost a bit more when bought on a restaurant so it's better to make one instead.
I won't say it's a healthy food but tastewise I'm going to put this on top along with my other favorite breakfast foods. Every bite is crunchy and its taste is something you would certainly crave in the morning. Also, it may look like it won't be enough to make you full, but don't get fooled! This is also best paired with a hot coffee. Delish!
