I didn't even notice that Mama went to the empty land, just over the fence in our own land. I am really not sure who owns that land but it is near the stone wall. We can see whatever kind of plants in there, theres trees, some plants, and they are really useful to Mama. Lol

Because no one really go there to check, no one knows that there's a Camias tree in there, there's also sweet potato leaves, and then just the other day, Mama went back home with a few Taro in her hands. She said, there's a lot of big Taro plants in the empty land that she decides to dig some..lol

I think if we weigh this, this is almost a kilo already. Last time I checked a kilo of taro is 50 pesos, but if you get lucky and found a small piles of Taro in the Tiangge-an, they are much cheaper and you can get them for 20 to 30 pesos. But anyways, Mama really hot lucky here because she got them for free.

And what's the best way to eat it? Of course just boiled or just put it on top of a steamed rice and after that, just dip it into a sugar. Actually I like this more because I can adjust the sweetness I want for it. And actually, this is also good in any meat stew, like adobo or caldereta, we mix Taro in those recipe is potato is too expensive.

Now moving on -I mentioned this on my recent article weeks ago, its about our Lukban tree. The first time I shared it, Mama was really disappointed because the fruit is really dry. But now... OMG!!

They are really juicy now. This is that one fruit hanging alone on the tree which I also shared here. And as you can see, its skin already turn yellow. That's the right color when it is already time to harvest it.

You can see its juiciness, right guys? I actually eat a few pulps but I eat something that time that when I ate it, i got attacked by its sourness hahaha -and while Mama is already enjoying it saying it is not that sour. Omg! I will happily eat this if I still like to eat sour foods. But nowadays, I avoid them because my stomach is now too weak for them. I can eat half of a bigger lukban back in the day, but now, maybe just half of this. But that time I didn't eat more because I don't feel like eating it. As for Mama, he loves for sour foods doesn't really disappear. Haha. And she knows too the benefits of eating it so she ate it with lots of reason.
And yeah, really so happy that this Lukban can not produce a juicy fruits. One of these days, I will harvest some of them and eat it alone. Dipping it in a salt will surely help with the sourness ( /^ω^)/♪♪
