I like the Idea of having meal with your god parents. I now remember my god mother whom also my aunt, cousin of my mom. I got idea from you to treat my god mother. Enjoy your long weekend with your family.
Here's a little extra story about my god father. When I was attending the Catholic church back in 2004, he was only a very young kid 🤣 I'm slightly older than him. I didn't fully commit into the holy relationship with god until some 20 years later. We're already good friends all these while, but spiritually, he's way "older" than I was. When I needed some spiritual guidance, he's that "father figure" to me despite he's younger.
He has a young family, and his wife (I now unofficially call her my god mother) and the sister in law are also in the choir team in the church, naturally we became very close, and so are the kids. So yes, we almost go to dinner together every weekend after mass.
That was a very great relationship with your godparent's. Its always nice that your godfather was spiritually mature to teach and guide you. Basically in spiritual side your baptism is more important than your birthday. Next is your confirmation because during baptism you are still a child and it was your parent's will that your would received your baptism but your confirmation that you decide by yourself.
