Too hot for rice, skipping the summer heat for simple meal

Greetings and Hello there. How's day going? Well is summer with extreme heat over here in Thai and is almost everyday. As the heat comes by daily so do my appetite not it. As today I wanted to share with you this non fried non oily meal that I prepared for my family.

Since I'm making the dinner I guess with some nice sauce for dipping would be nice. So I decide to use some sweet peanut cake snack for pounding. And it needed to pound into powder form.

Secondly, fresh chili, garlic and coriander root are added into for pounding. Pound them into small pieces and got them mixed up together.

I steamed some tilapia fish and veges since preparing and pounding need sometimes. And using charcoal for it for more economy ways.

After couple of mins of pounding, this the results that we need. All were smash up and mixed up.

Pickup some lime as needed it to be sour for the dripping sauce. Home grow lime tree of course.

Now you add up everything that you've pound. And add hot water for more together with lime juice for sourness. Depends on your preferences.

Now is the time we get to sit down together and enjoy the meal while chit chat with our family member.

This is how you eat it. Slice of Chinese cabbage, some bihun noodle, some fish and sauce. How it taste like? Well crispy texture from the vege, soft and meaty texture from the fish and sour, sweet and spicy flavor that kicks in from the sauce.

Would you give me a try? Take care during this hot summer and see you around my friend.

That dipping sauce sounds fire too! Makes me wanna try making this with my fam.

Can have a try if you want. Just make the sauce will do.

Yum, what a yummy meal to enjoy with your family. The sauce looks good, i'm actually more curious with that one 🤤

Which one do you curious about?

Hi, Your food looks like my family food, it has many ingredients, Fish's, Vegetable with spicy also. It's very delicious . Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Is it? Is so cool to know that. Dont mentioned. Have a nice day ahead.

I love how you kept it light but still packed it with flavor and texture. The contrast between the crunchy cabbage, soft noodles, and tender fish must be so satisfying.

Balanced of all. You got it right friend.

That's a good dipping that you have there. Also, you added Tilapia in the menu, which I think sealed the deal. Really delicious!

Thank you for sharing your meal. The best part indeed is to sit down with family while eating a meal and enjoying a good conversation.

Your blog makes my mouth water. They all look delicious and healthy. What's interesting is that you cook them outdoors. There's really something about food cooked outside and in a traditional way.
