🙏 Happy Thursday from Thailand, everyone... I hope you're all doing well. 🤗 For today, I'm sharing a recipe as usual. It's one of the dishes I made for my kids for today's lunch. That is Crispy Fried Shrimp. Since my kids really love crispy fried food, I use various ingredients, both meat and vegetables, to make dishes for them, which always turn out delicious. For this crispy fried shrimp, you get a texture that's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The shrimp meat isn't dry and remains juicy. Let's look at the ingredients and steps together.

Ingredients
- 300 grams of fresh shrimp
- 1 chicken egg
- 1/2 cup of frying flour
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp of seasoning powder
- 2 tsp of paprika powder
- 1 tsp of ground black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Cooking Steps
- Marinating the Shrimp

Wash the fresh shrimp, peel them, remove the heads and the black veins. Wash again, pat dry, and then mince them finely.
Place the minced shrimp in a mixing bowl. Add the seasonings. I use just three things: seasoning powder, ground black pepper, and paprika powder. Mix well. I use my hands to knead the mixture until it becomes sticky and binds together. This allows the seasonings to penetrate the meat. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- Forming and Coating the Shrimp

After marinating, take the shrimp mixture and shape it into logs about 2 inches long. You can shape them however you like, but try not to make them too thick or large.
Coat each shaped shrimp piece evenly with the frying flour. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk it with a fork until the yolk and white are fully combined.
Take the flour-coated shrimp pieces and dip them into the egg mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Adding the Breadcrumbs

Next, take the egg-coated shrimp pieces and roll them in the breadcrumbs until fully covered. I gently press with my hands so the breadcrumbs adhere better, which helps prevent them from falling off too much during frying. Once done, set them aside, ready for frying.
- Frying the Shrimp

Pour oil for frying into a pan or pot. Place it over the stove on medium heat. When the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded shrimp pieces. Fry until they are cooked through and golden brown all over. Once cooked, remove and drain them on a wire rack to let the excess oil drip off.
- Serving

Arrange the crispy fried shrimp on a plate. Serve hot with your favorite sauce. I use a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise. When you eat it, you get two distinct textural layers: the outer layer (breadcrumbs) is crispy and puffy, giving a crunchy texture, while the inner layer (the shrimp meat) is tender, juicy, and not dry.
Thanks for stopping by! 🤗
