Hi bloggers and community, how are you doing? Today I’m going to share what I did on Independence Day. Yesterday was my country’s Independence Day. Our Independence Day is celebrated every August 17. As usual, the festive celebrations take place every year on the streets and in offices alike, all the streets are filled with fluttering flags, and there are typically annual events to mark the occasion. This year at my office, we organized several contests to commemorate Independence Day with a red-and-white theme yesterday. The annual Independence Day celebration is always a much-anticipated event.

We also prepared some prizes for these contests—they weren’t big, but the spirit of togetherness and enthusiasm was what mattered most this time. The contests included team, individual, and pairs categories. We had events like a straw-relay race, a ball-dancing contest, a creative red-and-white costume contest, and even a cookie eating contest. We did everything with enthusiasm and had a great time. Everyone was excited and supportive; every participant was guaranteed a prize—the only difference was the size with the top three winners receiving more prizes. Just look at me I brought home several prizes from the individual and team competitions. I won the straw relay race with my team, but I lost the balloon dance competition.

In addition to the competitions and Independence Day celebration, there will, of course, be a delicious lunch prepared for everyone. This year’s menu features delicious lontong sayur served with a variety of condiments. Lontong sayur is a local dish made from rice, wrapped in banana leaves, and simmered for a long time until it becomes firm. Lontong sayur is one of my favorite foods. The catering committee is also very enthusiastic about serving today’s meal: spicy lontong sayur topped with noodles, fried snacks, and crackers. This lontong is the real deal savory and spicy. There are also several snacks to enjoy during the event, including kue lapis, pastel fritters, and cheese cake. For a drink, there’s fresh, sweet fruit ice to go with today’s meal. This annual Independence Day celebration is always eagerly anticipated and makes for a fun time. Happy Independence Day!!! Merdeka!
Okay, that’s all for today. Thank you.
