Today I prepared dinner for my husband, because it's Friday so my husband went home to spend his work holiday resting. Usually he comes home on Friday evening and stays at home for two days.
I still have stock of beef liver in the refrigerator that I bought a few days ago. Incidentally, I boiled and fried the beef liver. Today I want to cook it with mixed vegetables. Don't forget to balance the beef liver with vegetables too. This can help facilitate digestion.
I plan to cook it into Beef Heart Ballado with Beans.
Ohhh...yes, some people don't like offal such as beef liver and others, they say it can cause cholesterol. Does that include you?
I really like it, but for the sake of health I rarely consume it. Only sometimes if I want, I will cook it.

Beef Heart Balado Recipe Mixed with Chickpeas
100 grams of fried beef liver, green beans, 5 cloves of garlic, 10 cloves of shallots, 2 teaspoons of seasoning, 1 teaspoon of beef stock, 2 teaspoons of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric, 1 glass of water, 2 leaves orange, 2 ounces large curly chilies
How To Make
- Step 1
Blend chilies and onions until smooth
- Step 2
Chop the beans and beef liver
- Step 3
Saute all the spices including lime leaves, stir-fry until the spices are cooked and fragrant
- Step 4
Add water and beans, cook until boiling
Before cooking, wash the vegetables first.
- Step 5
Once the beans are half cooked, then add the beef liver
Cook until the water runs out, don't forget to adjust to taste.
Results
This menu is my favorite, I used to work in a Chinese house. My boss likes to cook this menu and I follow it until now. However, my boss cooks this menu only when there is a big meal at home. On normal days he never cooks it.
I used to think it was strange why offal was cooked with vegetables. I thought it was strange and unpalatable food, but after I tried it, it turned out to be really delicious.
