Hello hivers! Let's make your stomach hungry today hahaha. By the way this thing I'm doing today is kind of funny! Because I never knew I can cook banana cake for so long hours. Back in my hometown I always had banana cake ang I used rice cooker steamer so it's not difficult but here in our vacation house I don't have a steamer so I am thinking of something on how to cook this banana cake because I'm craving. Actually this banana was given by my neighbor last 4 days ago and today it was so ripe and I think it's the perfect time to make bread.
These are the ingredients needed:
Ripe Banana
Kremdensada
All purpose Flour
Baking soda
Sugar
Salt
Eggs
So let's start the process. First is I peeled off the banana and then cut it into tiny pieces and put it in a blender. I used a blender here instead of smashing it because in the blender it's more fine and the texture is better also it's more fast and energy saving.
Then I put the all purpose flour in a container and cracked the two eggs. Also I put the kremdensada, it's a milk mixture of condense milk and cream. Then put little baking soda to make it softer, salt to balance the sweetness and sugar to add flavor. Then mix it well. I think it took me 5 minutes to mix and ensure the powdery bubbles to melt. Then I added the blended banana and mix until it's even.
After everything is well mixed, it's so fragrant. Like I can smell the milk and the banana together. So I pour it in our cooking pot. I never expect the cooking pot to be full. This bread probably be so big later.
Then my husband set up the fire outside. I wanted to use the LPG but my husband suggests cooking it using fire because it took time. We expect it one hour to cook this whole thing. So he gathered dry woods from coconut tree and coconut plunks.
Then I put the biggest pan we have and put water on it. Then I placed the cooking pot and seal it with banana leaves so that the evaporated water won't go to the mixture. Also the whole thing has banana leaves covered so it feels steamed and the process of cooking would be faster.
And after 5 hours of pushing the wood, opening and closing the pot, now it's cook and ready to set. It's already evening hahaha
This is the result. It was so big. Then I sliced it into 8 equal pieces because I gave one piece to the store I always bought goods, to the grandmother neighbor whom I always I asked for chili and another slice to the neighbor who gave this banana.
I taste it it was so fine and the sweetness is just balance. I'm so happy. My husband also told me I'm now good at cooking or baking because he like it. Another cooking done! Another great achievement for me. But the funny thing is that I thought this would be our snack for today, hahaha but it's dinner time. I hope I can buy equipment so I can cook or bake better. That's all for today hivers! Yesterday was so fun and we have a blast!
Thank you so much for reading my blog consistently and thank you to all hivers who supported me here giving me motivation to post and engage.
