Garlic is truly an important part of our kitchen at home. We are used to adding garlic whenever we cook. For us, garlic really makes a big difference in taste.
When we started planting, I told my mother that we should also plant garlic since we use it a lot in the kitchen, and it has become very expensive in the market. That’s why when we began planting, we included garlic as well.
It has been around two weeks since we planted it. Actually, garlic is easy to grow. It doesn’t require too much effort. You just plant it in the soil, and unlike other plants, it doesn’t need to be watered every day. Since the weather in the Philippines is very hot, it is perfect for the garlic as garlic should not stay too wet because it can rot, so watering should be done alternately.
For now, we planted it in pots. We just made sure that the soil is good so it can grow well. So far, it is growing fine. I only planted three cloves separately, and after around two weeks, they have already grown this size.
If you have land, one of your biggest investments is hard work. If you are hardworking, you can grow many plants even if your land is not as big as one hectare.
Planting garlic may seem simple, but it teaches patience and care. Even with small space and simple effort, you can still grow something useful for our home. In the end, it is not about how big your land is, but how willing you are to work and take care of what you plant.
