Happy Wednesday Hivers!
On the first day of every month, my mom claims her monthly allowance. Since I'm here in Leyte, I'm the one who accompanies her whenever she goes to claim it. She finds filling out forms and writing details tiring, so she really prefers to have someone with her to help.

After claiming her allowance, we usually head straight to buy the things we need so we don't have to make another trip later. Our first stop was Metro, where we usually do our grocery shopping. Since Metro is a bit far from where we were, we took a Racal ride because my mom can no longer comfortably walk long distances.

Before leaving the house, we always make a list of everything we need to buy. It saves us time because we don't have to stop and think about what we still need, and it also helps ensure we don't forget anything.

When we arrived at the grocery store, we went straight to the items on our list since we already knew exactly where they were. We don't usually buy fruits from the grocery because they're more expensive. Instead, we buy our fruits, fish, and meat at the public market, where they're much more affordable.

One of the things I really appreciate when I'm with my mom is the senior citizen priority lane. We don't have to wait in long lines, which makes shopping much easier and less tiring for her. After picking up everything we needed, we headed straight to the cashier, and luckily, we were the first in line.

Once we finished our grocery shopping, we left our purchases at the courtesy booth for safekeeping before heading to the public market.
I like shopping at the public market because the prices are much cheaper than at the grocery store, although it can get a bit crowded. We first visited the dry market before making our way to the wet market.

I was actually impressed with the wet market because it was clean and didn't have the unpleasant smell that many public markets are known for. The fish also looked much fresher than the ones usually sold in grocery stores. After buying everything on our list, we finally headed home.
It was a productive day. We were able to accomplish everything we needed and spending the day with my mom made the errands more enjoyable.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
