Hello there my fellow hivers. Have a great day everyone. This is my second time to post in here after I posted my self introduction post . I have been very busy the whole day. Being a domestic helper in HongKong is not really easy. The houses are very small but you're working non-stop from 6am-10pm. 6 days straight of work overload that's why during off day I choose to just stay in my room and get enough rest . I sleep and sleep, I will only go out to buy food or eat downstairs of our building and then come back to rest again. I been very sad the whole week too because I only have chance to spend time video calls with my son during my off day. During working days not enough time to call him because when I'm done he's already asleep. This is the reason why I choose to just stay at home during my off to have quality time with him during the day through video call.
Anyways today I want to share with you the place where you can feel like your in the Philippines. This is located in Central station exit A.
The moment when you came out from the station you will see this staircase with so many of our kabayans resting. There so many things going on with this staircase. There are people who were doing their nail polish, some also doing massage. Well some of us working so hard 6 days a week so we really need massage. Too many work the whole day can only sit if eating most of us working 16 hours straight, that's why if you want to work abroad you must be very strong emotionally and physically.
The only reason why I came here today it's because I want to buy card for my data. And since I'm here already so I just walked around to see what I can buy here next time. It feels like you were in the Philippines because most all of the people are Filipinos. There are so many Filipino shops also where you can buy everything that you need, all products are from Philippines. It's just that Abit pricey if you compare the normal price if you will buy those things in the Philippines, well that's what I expected.
Then I continue walking to the next corner and I saw some Filipino shops selling packed foods, either rice and dishes and some kakanins(cake) I feel want to buy but I was thinking I don't have enough money for the next off days so I just close my eyes and go. I will just buy next time.
As I continue walking the other side I saw another shops sales some common Filipino veggies. It's Malunggay and saluyot and also those type of bananas.
The banana is $20 for 7 pieces so it's really expensive but since it's our comfort food so there are still Filipino people buying it. Just me never buy because aside that I don't have money I also cannot cook it at my employer's house as I am not allowed to cook other food for myself. If whatever I cook for them that's what I'm going to eat also. For now I don't dare to ask them if I can cook my own food in their kitchen because I'm only 3 months here so I must be very careful . After I walked around Abit I went back home, I bought burger at McDonald's to take away so I have food for dinner because I'm not going out anymore.
I just spend the rest of my time video call with my son until night time and get some more sleep. This is how I spent my whole rest day.
Thank you if you read my blog.
