Hello everyone. I hope everybody is doing great today. I want to share a recipe I just discovered today. I hope you will enjoy reading this blog.
This morning, when I was about to cook our breakfast, I couldn't find anything in our pantry but a can of chickpeas, a can of green peas, and two small packs of rice noodles, and inside the fridge was a pack of chicken ham.
I couldn't make it to the market since my youngest has some sickness and he won't let me get off from his sight. So decided to cook anything that I could use all three ingredients I only had.
So this is what I did.
First, I minced the 250g of chicken ham, took out the chickpeas and green peas from the cans, and minced a bulb of onion and 6 cloves of garlic.
Then, in a small casserole, I boil 2 cups of water, and when the water starts to seethe, I dip the rice noodles.
While the rice noodle is cooking, in a pan, I sautéed the garlic and onions.
Then, I immediately put the chicken in the pan until it is cooked.
When the chicken ham is cooked and its color has begun to change from white to brownish, I add the chickpeas, followed by the green peas.
With the use of a wooden ladle, I stir continuously until the chicken ham, chickpeas, and green peas are thoroughly mixed.
At this point, I noticed that the rice noodle was already cooked, so I drained the water using a colander and immediately transferred the cooked rice noodles to a bowl.
Going back to my pan, I put a dash of salt, ground pepper, and monosodium glutamate (ajinomoto vetsin) and a tablespoon of soy sauce to the sauteed mixture.
After around 5 minutes of stirring, and when I was so sure that all of the ingredients were well-cooked, I poured the mixture into a bowl of rice noodles.
Then, I served it to my family before it got cold. I was a bit doubtful and a bit hesitant to let them try this dish since it was also my first time cooking something like this. And the moment of judgement happened. My sons and daughter love it, and of course, my husband loves it too.
Certainly! They all loved it! And when I tried to have some personal feedback on my cooking, yes! it was so good and delicious.
The recipe was prepared for 15-20 minutes only. It was full of protein coming from the chicken ham, chick peas, and green peas. It was also a bowl of carbohydrates coming from the rice noodles. It was indeed a bowl of nutritious and delicious breakfast.
I hope you will try this too.
If you are still with me up to this point, thank you very much.
This is @jeanieviv84 saying, have a great day. God bless you.
