Sometimes, the best memories happen in the most unexpected places. Like a peaceful farm, hidden away from the chaotic world, filled with the rustle of the wind, the sound of the river, and the smell of grilled catfish.
Hello, Hive ASEAN Community! It's me again. I'm back. Today I'm going to be sharing my little trip to Pasol mo Luto ko at Lindo's farm. We visited this place right after my Ate's graduation.
The air was fresh, the place was so calming, and it has a lot of dogs.
There were nipa huts (bahay kubo), bamboo benches, wooden signs, and lots of trees that gave shade from the heat, and the paths were simple but clean; it's a red stone shaped like a rectangle.
Fishes 🐠
I went fishing by the nipa huts. One of the first things I noticed was the 3 fish ponds they had, two for the tilapia and one for the catfish.
They were so cute. I love fish so much. I also caught two tilapia but let them go after catching them because they were still little, plus you need 10 fish before consuming them. They also bought a bucket of worms for fishing. I touched some of the worms, and the worker helped me put the worm on the carbon steel.
Boodle Fight 🌱
After exploring the area, it was time to eat. And it wasn't just a regular lunch but a boodle fight!!
For those who don't know, a boodle fight is a traditional Filipino way of eating. The food is placed on banana leaves over a long table, and everyone eats with their hands. No plates, no utensils, just hands.
Our boodle fight had fried chicken, fried catfish, grilled eggplant, rice, pancit, and fried pork. Everything looked good and smelled delicious.
after the boodle fight I went to drink my oreo shake and ate some pizza 🍕
Not so far where we ate was a river, and of course, I just had to take a picture. The river was massive, It was pretty calming. The water was clear and flowed between the rocks.
I also took a picture of myself here, The view isn't good but yeah.
So, when I first made my intro post here on Hive, I didn't know that I was supposed to include a photo of myself. So, here it is me showing my face to prove that I am not a bot, And I just wanted to say sorry and make up for my mistake.
Before I wrap up this blog, I just wanted to mention how much fun and joy this trip was. I had fun eating and fishing.
Also, I should point out that we have our own farm, so I'm not very excited about this kind of thing because I usually visit different kinds of farms, but this trip included a boodle battle and a foot spa, so it was great.
And these are their signs before going home. Ah, I forgot to mention this place is in Davao.
That is all, Thanks for reading my blog🎀 Let me know if you've ever done a boodle fight or visited a farm like this. Until next time🌷
