Yesterday, my father invited us to go out for a family dinner. It’s been two months since we last ate outside because my father was working in the capital of the Philippines. We appreciated his intention to spend time together, especially since he had a mile stroke last May 2022. Those were the darkest days of our lives, but we’re still grateful that God didn’t let us feel empty. Moving past the heavy part, let’s get started.
Pictures Before Going Out

Before we went to Jollibee, I took my OOTD. I wore a simple yellow polo shirt that I already used a couple of times. Then, I wore cargo shorts as my bottom, which was my first time using it. I also paired it with black shoes that I bought using my hard-earned money. Although my father kept pushing me to wear the shoes he gave as a gift, I chose these since it’s been a long time since I last wore them. Those shoes are memorable because I bought them with my own money. As a frugal family living in the Philippines, bringing a tub of rice is a necessity to save costs. Take note that buying extra rice from the Jollibee itself is so costly.

Outside Shots

It’s been a month since I last went here, and I can’t help but appreciate for the second time around its new look. After five months of renovation, you can say they really improved the overall appearance and functionality of the fast-food restaurant. Before it was demolished, there were no kiosks or drive-thru. The design was also stuck in the 2010s. Now, the current design is more modern and aesthetic. The only downside is the limited space on the first floor.
Kiosks Ordering

Since my father’s right side is still not fully functional due to his mild stroke, we hesitated whether to eat on the ground floor or the second floor. My father tried climbing upstairs, and thankfully he managed. He only struggled because he couldn’t move his right arm and leg properly. My parents asked me to order an 8-piece Chickenjoy bucket, four French fries, one burger, two Coke Floats, one iced tea, and one sundae from the kiosks.
When it was finally my turn, I'm sad since Coke Float was unavailable. That's why I replaced it with sundae with Oreo. My younger sister also wanted Chicken Nuggets, but it cost ₱210 for only four pieces with a toy freebie. I found the price ridiculous, so I passed it out. My younger sibling seems sad, but I know he understood.
Picture Taking

As usual, we never forgot to take pictures. We took photos before and after receiving the food. It’s already part of our tradition and culture. My parents were angry at us if we didn't participate haha.
Food

Here was my meal for the night. I ate Chickenjoy, a sundae, a burger, and French fries. My younger brother carried the tray with the food, while I carried the tray with the drinks and plates. Unexpectedly, the tub of rice ran out since my younger siblings were eating a lot like me. My nine-year-old sister was even eating more than I did, so I often tease her. For context, she’s 9 years old and I’m already 21. We also joked that she can’t fit into her old clothes anymore due to her fats.
Frank’s Burger

Before going home, we stopped by Frank’s Burger to buy their Buy 1 Get 1 Burger with Cheese and Buy 1 Get 1 Footlong. I don’t know why we still went there since I was already full from Jollibee. Anyway, just like earlier, I was the one who talked to the staff about our order. I felt bad for her because there was no electricity in their area, and I’m sure she’s underpaid as well.
