A simple table for one.
Hello, Hive-friends! How’s your day going? I hope everyone’s doing well. As for me, I’m treating myself to a little “date” at one of my favorite coffee shops, Kapehan PH.
I just came from our church gathering, and I usually stop by here to stretch my relaxation and enjoy some quiet time alone. It’s not that I don’t want to hang out with others—it’s just that I crave these moments for myself once in a while. Who says being alone is awkward or sad? For me, it’s the perfect space for self-reflection.
My coffee isn’t complete without brownies. There were other choices like croissants and cheesecake, but today my heart wanted brownies.
While waiting for my order, I took a few selfies—there weren’t many people around, so it felt like the perfect moment.
Soon the young lady served my coffee and brownies, and it matched my mood so well—simple, but full of good vibes. I couldn’t help smiling, and she even noticed how happy I was with my little treat.
The café was quiet, with just a couple of tables occupied. It felt like the perfect spot to leave my worries behind. My thoughts were how this rich brownie and warm coffee would keep me company tonight. Nothing fancy at all, but sometimes the simplest things are the ones that lift us the most.
As I sit here, I realize how easily we get caught up in life’s rush. Bills, deadlines, and responsibilities pile up, and we forget to pause. But moments like this remind me that treating yourself doesn’t need to be grand—it can be as simple as coffee and a brownie, and giving yourself permission to just breathe.
Sometimes we think we always need company to enjoy life, but I’ve learned that keeping yourself company can be just as meaningful. These little pauses remind me that I’m enough, and that joy can be found in the simplest things. Maybe the next time you feel drained or overwhelmed, try giving yourself a small date too—you might just find that the best moments are the ones you spend with yourself.
Thanks for spending this little coffee break with me. Until next time, Hive-friends!
