Let's have a delicious dish again this time. I prepared and cooked minced pork with potatoes for our meal. Pork is still considered a healthy food as it is a source of protein, but if we choose the lean meat and only eat it in moderation.
The same goes for potatoes. They are a good source of fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and various antioxidants, but if we consume them in moderation.
Pork and potatoes are a good combination in various methods of cooking, too. So, here's my other pork + potato dish. Please come and join me, and let's see how I did it.
My Simple Minced Pork and Potato Dish
INGREDIENTS:
- Ground Pork
- Potatoes
- Bell Pepper
- Onion
- Garlic
- Spring Onion
- Ground Black Pepper
- Soy Sauce
- Tomato Paste
- Salt
- Magic Sarap Seasoning
- Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- Knorr Pork Cube
- Sprite
- Pineapple Juice
- Canola Oil
- Water
PREPARATION:
Wash the ground pork thoroughly using a strainer, rinse well, and then drain.
Wash and peel the potato, then cut into bigger cubes.
Peel and wash the onion and slice it into small pieces.
Crush and peel garlic, then cut into small pieces.
Wash the spring onions well, then cut them into small pieces. And then blanch the green spring onions.
Wash the bell pepper and then cut it into cubes.
Set them aside.
Now let's make a sauce. In a bowl, I combine pineapple juice, Sprite, soy sauce, Knorr liquid seasoning, tomato paste, and a little water.
Measurement of these ingredients will depend on your taste preference.
Set them all aside and let's start cooking.
COOKING TIME:

I cooked the diced potatoes in the air fryer. You can also pan-fry them or boil them.
But be sure to just half-cook them. When the potatoes start to soften a bit, drench them with a pinch of salt, a little Knorr liquid seasoning, and a little ground black or white pepper. Then continue cooking until halfway cooked. Then remove the potatoes from the air fryer and set aside.

In a pan or cooker, heat some canola oil, slightly fry the bell pepper, and transfer it into a tiny bowl. And then sauté onions, garlic, and spring onions until aromatic.

Then add the ground or minced pork until the pork's water content evaporates. Then add Knorr pork cube, Magic Sarap, and ground black pepper. Mix them well.




Then add the air-fried potatoes, mix them with the meat and aromatics, and then add the mixed sauce. Bring them to a simmer on a low to medium heat until the meat and potatoes are fully cooked.


And there it is, all done and ready to serve.
By the way, my husband gifted me this glass platter the other day and I'm so happy...🥰 My family knows I really love this kind of thing. This is the first dish in this new platter...❤
