It’s the same in our area. Although it is supposed to be the wet season at this time of the year, the weather is still extremely hot. That’s why we decided to grow heat-resistant vegetables in our garden.

I also tried growing shallots, but they kept rotting even though I only watered them occasionally. I decided to stop growing them for now because they just end up dying, just like garlic.

In my experience shallots just great for heat. Maybe you should check up the soil. They like loose soil. I us top soil with burn husk to get loose soil
