Ooops... now I'm starting to think that I probably should have written down what seeds went in which parts of the planting buckets! When we had the punnets of small seedlings, I would just use the plastic tag that came with them to mark them off... but seeing as these new veggies were grown from seed, the seed packets are now long gone... and I have forgotten what went where. Sure, I do remember a few of them... and I should write them now... after this post.

So, what are these? They are either mustard greens... or beetroots... or something. EEeeeeep!!! I figure that they will be easier to google once they have grown up a bit more!

... and these... damn it! I'm really not sure! Broccoli??? or Coriander??? This is going to be a slow growing puzzle!

Meanwhile, I have started to prune back some of the summer growth (yes, I know that we are heading into winter... in a couple of months...).... and the plant that I have been avoiding like the plague is the one with the razer sharp spines that go straight through the gardening gloves. But this time, I've used the landscaping gloves with the thick leather... and the spines don't pierce it as long as I don't grip too hard! YES!!!! I love these gloves... I now pretty much use them for everything... and I have a couple of pairs as well. And they don't go brittle like the cheap plastic covered garden ones...

... yes, these spines. I tell you what... these ones hurt like crazy! And my wife says to just dig them up and get rid of them... but they do come up with some really nice flowers.

And our carrots have started to eb attacked by something... only this little bunch of them... and the slime trail leads me to think that it is a snail or a slug, but I wasn't able to find any. I'll lay out more egg shells and coffee grounds... I'm going to get these buggers!

... oops, we aren't supposed to be growing mushrooms!
