Hi there. In this food post I cover Hero Dumplings in the Toronto area.
About Hero Dumplings
Hero Dumplings is located in the downtown area near the IKEA, near the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and near the Eaton Centre mall. This place specializes in steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings, wontons and other snacks. What makes them appealing is their low price points in a Toronto area that has a high cost of living. This place is good for students and for those on a budget.
Hero Dumplings is a relatively new place and is kind of connected to the established Juicy Dumplings place in the Chinatown area of Toronto. (Images from online below.)

What I Ordered
What was somewhat surprising to me was that you can order your food from a touch screen machine. Usually at franchise food places you can order from a machine instead of at the counter. Seeing a small food place have this is a nice surprise. Order your food from the machine, get a receipt with an order number and wait for the food. The wait time was around 3 to 5 minutes and it was not busy at aroudn 11:30 AM Sunday.
I ordered Chicken & Cabbage Steamed dumplings (6 pcs) and one set of steamed Pork and Chive Dumplings (6pcs).

These steamed dumplings were okay. A little bit of juiciness and not too salty. I did not want to have to too much food as I wanted to avoid getting too full.

Maybe their Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings (Xiaolongbao) are better. I would visit again and try some other items or come back for a snack. A big plus is that it is easy to order from the machine.
