Hi there. In this food post, I visit Gyu Kaku Japanese Barbeque in Toronto. Gyu-Kaku is a Yakiniku franchise restaurant with many locations in the United States and in Canada.
This restaurant was recommended by my brother. He has eaten twice at this place twice with his coworkers.
Photos are mainly from my Redmi Note Pro 13 phone.

Menu
This place does not do all you can eat Barbeque. You can order items individually or order set meals. My brother and I went with the Meat Lovers BBQ courses from their Menu. One adjustment we made was upgrading the Premium Sirloin into Prime Kalbi Beef. My brother had a 15% coupon from a previous visit from work.

As we dined in on a Sunday after Valentine's Day on a Saturday, there were Valentine's Day menus available. (We did not choose anything from the Valentine's Day menu.)
Food & Photos
Our seats were spacious and comfortable. On my right there was another set of diners. I do like how there is a wall that separates two sets of diners on the large table with the embedded grills. Legroom was very good.
Salad, Miso Soup, Rice & Chicken Karaage
Before we received our meats for grilling, we got a big salad, two bowls of rice, two bowls of miso soup, edamame and one serving of Japanese Chicken Karaage.

The salad bowl was big so we saved a lot of it to go. Edamame was kind of eaten by me. We did not eat too many vegetables as we wanted the meats.

The sushi with the meat on top was okay (above right picture).
The Japanese Chicken Karaage was really good. Easily better than Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Popcorn Chicken. The fried chicken pieces had a light crunch on the outside. What made it really good was the chicken was moist and juicy on the inside. Ten out of ten item.

What stood out from the meal was the New York striploin sliced meat pieces, the ribeye steak and the prime kalbi pieces. Those were really good. The other grilled meats were okay at the worst. I think the one pork belly piece I had was a little hard to chew. Maybe it was a user cooking error by me. Overall the meats were pretty good.
Dessert & Closing Notes
The dessert was nothing too big. It was S'mores. Two crackers with Aero Chocolate pieces and a Marshmellow. You can heat the marshmellow over the grill to warm it up. I forgot to take a picture.
They do have a dessert menu but the both of us don't usually order desserts at restaurants. Dessert prices are kind of pricey in Toronto (and surrounding area).
