Hi there. In this special food post, I visit Fishman Lobster Clubhouse in Toronto. It was to celebrate an early birthday for someone.

Note: This is a long post.
The Restuarant - Fishman Lobster Clubhouse
Fishman Lobster Clubhouse is a Hong Kong style restaurant located in the east part of Toronto. Technically, it is in Scarborough. In this area there are a lot of Chinese and Asian restaurants. The competition is pretty fierce. If you live in the area and have a lot of money, you are spoiled for choices when it comes to Asian food.
This restaurant specializes in lobster, Vancouver crab, King crab. Surprisingly they also do Australian lamb and steak. I have heard their steak is pretty good and is a good alternative to Western restaurants and their steaks. Fishman Lobster Clubhouse
has been ranked number 16 out of 30 on the Elite 30 Canada for Chinese restaurants in Canada.

This place has a sister restaurant called Jumbo Lobster Restaurant in the Richmond Hill area north of Toronto. It is ranked number 7 on the Elite 30 Canada for Chinese restaurants in Canada. Their menu is similar to Fishman Lobster Clubhouse plus they have dimsum and other Chinese dishes. It is a newer restaurant that was opened in 2022 while Fishman was established in 2009.
Fishman Lobster Clubhouse is kind of famous in the Toronto area, within the Asian community in Toronto and has been featured in some Youtube videos. This place is famous for their fried lobster mountain, king crab mountain and large portions. Before you eat your food, the staff lets you touch your lobster, crab for entertainment and to take pictures.

Menu & Price
Their menu is also their website. They have combo set menus as well as a regular menu.

Note there is a 3% handling fee for credit card transactions. I guess they pass on the credit card fee to the customers so it is better to pay in cash. There is also a 12% service charge fee and you pay government HST tax of 13% also.
Here is the regular menu as of January 2026.

For the King Crab, Lobster or Vancouver crab, you select the cooking style out of their lists on the left.
It is more cheaper and economical to get your lobster dish and/or crab dishes in the set meal. The 16 ounce dry aged over 20 days AAA Canada Ribeye Steak is 100 CAD, and one 3 pound Lobster is 105 CAD (35 CAD times 3) adds up to 205 CAD. You get more if you get the first set meal that says Lobster HK Style Dinner for (2-3) for 198 CAD.
Lobster HK Style Dinner for (2-3)
- Soup of the Day
- Lobster in Hong Kong Style (3 pounds)
- Dryaged over 20 Days AAA Canada Ribeye Steak (16 ounce)
- Snow Pea Tips w. King Mushroom Dish
- Desert
If you do come here be prepared to spend at a minimum of 50 CAD per person. Adding King crab or Australian lamb to your order makes the meal more expensive. Ordering too much hurts the wallet too. I'd recommend choosing something where the number of dishes is two less than the number of people.

What We Ordered
We did the Lobster HK Style Dinner set meal that was for 2 to 3 people for 199 CAD. This set meal includes:
- Soup Of The Day
- Lobster in Hong Kong Style (3 lbs)
- Dryaged Over 20 Days AAA Canada Ribeye Steak (16 oz.)
- Snow Pea Tips with King Mushroom.
- Dessert
We did an add-on dish on top of this set meal. It was Fried E-Fu Noodle for 24 CAD.
It is very easy to order a lot at this type of place. They say 2 to 3 people for the set meal but it is important to know that the portions are very large. The restaurant may say 2 to 3 people but I would add 2 people on top.
After ordering, one of the staff mentioned that the lobster they had for us is slightly over 3 pounds. The pricing has to be adjusted. We were asked if paying an extra 11 CAD for the slightly heavier weight. We said yes.
Whenever you order a set meal with lobster or the king crab, the staff present the live lobster and/or crab. This is extra service for the customers where they can touch the seafood before it is cooked. Customers can take photos and share it to friends. From the restaurant perspective, it is advertising through buzz and word of mouth.

Sorry for some blurriness. Some photos were taken fast.
Food Pictures
Soup Of The Day
The soup of the day was either Corn soup or a Chinese Style Chicken Soup. We chose the chicken soup.

This chicken soup is not your ordinary chicken soup. There are a bunch of ingredients including some ginseng, cordyceps, chicken and a lot of vegetables. The soup is very good and there are a lot of leftovers so you can make good soup at home.
Dryaged Over 20 Days AAA Canada Ribeye Steak

I don't eat steak too much so my critique here may not be great. The steaks in this restaurant are always medium rare I think. You don't choose the steak doneness. This steak dish is on an elevated plate with a tealight candle on the bottom.
I found the steak to be very good. I did not get a wow effect from this but the texture was good and the taste was okay.
Snow Pea Tips with King Mushroom

This vegetable dish is here as there a lot of meat and seafood in the set meal. The dish was okay. Not bad but not amazing. Some people may not like the slimy like texture from the vegetables and sauce.
Lobster in Hong Kong Style (3 lbs)
Even though the lobster was 3 pounds, this lobster mountain looks nice. Larger tables would have lobster mountains larger than this as they would order lobsters at 5 pounds or more.

This lobster is fried with some chilies and there are even fried at the bottom of the mountain. For the lobster pieces, the inside is very moist and juicy. The outside of the lobster had a sweet, savoury chili taste. Very good.
My only complaint was that the gloves were not automatically provided. We had to ask for gloves. To my surprise, they do a lot of plate switching. You get new plates often as you eat the lobster.
The fries are very addictive. These fries may have been the best fries ever in my life. They are crunchy and hard similar to Costco fries. In terms of taste, the fries have a sweet and slightly spicy kick to them. Just amazing.

Fried E-Fu Noodle

The E-Fu Noodle dish was good overall. It was not awful and it was not amazing. There might have been no salt on it which is okay for health reasons.
Dessert

I guess the dessert depends on the set meal you ordered. We got a jello dish with a mango layer on top and a coconut layer on the bottom. Other tables got a jello dish with Chinese osmanthus jelly.
This jello was very good. The jello was firm, bouncy and it was not too sweet.
Review & Notes
Fishman Lobster Clubhouse is a very good place. It is expensive but not that more expensive to Chinese buffet places and Japanese BBQ places. Chinese buffets in Toronto charge around 55 CAD per person for a weekend dinner and Japanese BBQ places are around 45 to 55 CAD per person for a weekend dinner.
Our bill came to around 285 CAD after a 12 % service charge and a 5% cash discount. We had 4 adults so that came to 71 CAD per person after charges. This place is slightly more expensive than buffet and Japanese BBQ options.

If your group has 5 or more people, the costs would be much higher. Prepare to pay around 100 CAD per person if you do big groups and if you have King Crab in your order.
A 12% service charge is not that bad given that the service is very good (except asking for gloves). It was not busy on a regular Sunday evening, so it was fairly quiet. The restaurant interior may be surrounded by water tanks filled with seafood and fridges of dried steak meat but it adds to the dining experience.
Rating: 9 out of 10.
