So I think I understand it. First someone has got to sponsor me, this will get us both a permanent unit equal to the amount sent. Then the vote power connected to the HSBI goes up at a rated that depends on the amount of permanent units.

I post, it hits the needed vote threshold, and I get a vote which then lets me send more hive tokens in to sponsor other folks and benefit.
