Greetings my friends, it's been a while since I posted here, so it's a pleasure to be here in this unique and interesting place on the platform. I was struck by the initiative to talk about a food YouTube channel and I immediately came to mind to talk about a super great chef proudly Venezuelan called Sumito Estevez, since I can remember I'm following him and I really love his work, his love for cooking and how dedicated he is when it comes to teach or show a dish. As every chef knows how to make international dishes perfectly, but if there is something that makes him stand out a lot is that he is always dedicated to explaining those typical dishes of our land Venezuela taking care of the ingredients in detail, wherever he is.
Sumito was born in Caracas, Venezuela and studied at the School of Gastronomy in Paris, France. He is very well prepared. I remember him a lot for a program he did called “Puro sumo” and he is also a content creator on YouTube for several years now, which has 587 thousand subscribers, and it is obvious that many Venezuelans who emigrated always come to him to see his Venezuelan recipes adapted to those that exist in the country where he is, especially in Chile, country where he lived for many years and which also had a restaurant. Unfortunately for reasons beyond his control he closed his business and decided to go to Italy with his wife where he is making a new life, working on his social networks and creating quality content.

I want to share 3 videos that I really like among the many good ones you have. There is the Chinese rice, the black roast and the Pasticho. Very famous foods in Venezuela and also outside of it since the good thing about all this wave of migration is that Venezuelans are interested in learning these dishes well.

Venezuelan Chinese rice, yes, just as you read (laughs) has a unique particularity, its flavor is intense because it has that oriental touch and at the same time the Venezuelan seasoning, I love the fact that the rice is al dente. Here he presented us his detailed version.

When I left my country, if there was something that I would miss a lot was the black roast, Christmas dish that can not miss on our tables and enjoy it with family, but this one certainly has its preparation process so he presents a very interesting version with that talent to explain that is one of the things that characterize him the most. It took me years to eat it again, but luckily this Christmas I came back to eat it with my family.

And, last but not least, the Venezuelan Pasticho, which, if I have many funny anecdotes, since being abroad I struggled to try even something similar, but outside it is prepared a little differently and has another name, lasagna and I remember that I spent many pains when I asked because I said Pasticho and people were left wondering “but what does it say? Here in this video, just watching it makes my mouth water. Sumito is an ambassador of Venezuelan food, it is an honor that he is my countryman and I only wish him the best, he is a great guy and a hard worker.
This is my participation in the initiative, I hope it has been to everyone's liking and I hope to see you in the next opportunity, I really like these dynamics because they allow us to share things that could be of interest to everyone. A big hug!
