Gaming is fun, and getting those proteins in is a must. Without the proper fuel, a fun gaming experience can turn into a hangry day. This got me thinking about what everyone's go-to snack is while playing Splinterlands. Regardless of whether you are attending to your land, trading cards, speculating on tokens, or duking it out on the battlefield to collect those daily rewards; our bodies need fuel. In this post, we encourage everyone to tell us what their favorite meal is. To do so, simply head to the comment section and hit us with your meal, snack, or recipe of choice. Now that we have the prizes and participation details worked out, it's time for me to tell you what one of my go-to meals is. @rentmoney's go-to fuel for gaming is a burger.
🍔 The @rentmoney Gaming Burger
It's hard to beat a classic. But what exactly goes onto the patty?
- 150 grams of lean ground beef
Mixed with egg, breadcrumbs, and seasoning to taste - Gourmet Brioche Bun
- Lettuce
- Pickles (sometimes cucumbers!)
- Cheddar Cheese
- Yellow Mustard
- Ketchup
- Creamy Baja Sauce
That's the go-to fuel for @rentmoney's gaming needs. Or at least, it's one of my favorites! I have others that I will share in future posts. This burger alone packs roughly 730 calories and 55 grams of protein. If we were to add some fries to make it a full combo, the total calories will go well past 1,000, while throwing in an additional 4 grams of protein. Of course, if we are making it a full combo, we are going to need something to drink with it. A standard-sized 355ml (12-ounce) can of soda adds 140 calories. BUT why not go big and add a milkshake? If you did, a medium chocolate milkshake adds an extra 620 calories and 14 grams of protein. That would give us a massive, filling meal total of 1,649 Calories paired with an intake of 73 grams of protein! Now that is some serious fuel for your gaming needs that is sure to keep you full while unlocking those achievements.
