You know those days where you step outside for a second and the world just… hits you?
That happened to me two days ago. I wasn’t looking for a "photo op" or anything special, but then I looked up and saw the sky. It was doing something I’ve never quite seen before. Usually, clouds are just clouds..blobs of white or grey but these were different. They were stretched out in these long, rhythmic waves, like the ocean had been flipped upside down and painted across the blue.
तुम जानते हो वो दिन, जब तुम बस एक पल के लिए बाहर कदम रखती हो और दुनिया अचानक… तुम्हें छू जाती है?
ऐसा मेरे साथ दो दिन पहले हुआ। मैं किसी “फोटो ऑप” या किसी खास चीज़ की तलाश में नहीं थी, लेकिन फिर मैंने ऊपर देखा और आसमान दिखा। वो कुछ ऐसा कर रहा था, जो मैंने पहले कभी ठीक से नहीं देखा था। आमतौर पर बादल बस बादल ही होते हैं। सफेद या धूसर रंग की बिखरी हुई आकृतियाँ। लेकिन ये अलग थे। ये लंबे, लयबद्ध तरंगों की तरह फैले हुए थे, जैसे समुद्र को उल्टा करके नीले आसमान पर रंग दिया गया हो।
There was a texture to it that felt almost intentional. It didn’t look like weather... it looked like art. It’s one of those rare sights where, if you aren't careful, you could just keep staring until you lose track of where you are. You don't even want to blink because you’re afraid the wind might shift and the pattern will dissolve.
उसमें एक अलग-सी बनावट थी, जो लगभग जानबूझकर बनाई हुई लग रही थी। वो मौसम जैसा नहीं लग रहा था… वो कला जैसा लग रहा था। ये उन दुर्लभ नज़ारों में से एक था जहाँ अगर तुम सावधान न रहो, तो बस देखते ही रह जाओ और ये भी भूल जाओ कि तुम कहाँ हो। पलक झपकाने का भी मन नहीं करता, इस डर से कि कहीं हवा बदले और वो पैटर्न बिखर न जाए।
I tried to capture it in these photos, but honestly, my phone camera feels a bit too small for something that big. Looking at the way the white streaks cut through that deep, crisp blue,It was like the sky was vibrating with its own energy.
मैंने इसे इन तस्वीरों में कैद करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन सच कहूँ तो इतनी विशाल चीज़ के सामने मेरे फोन का कैमरा थोड़ा छोटा लगने लगा। जिस तरह सफेद धारियाँ उस गहरे, साफ़ नीले रंग को काटती जा रही थीं, उसे देखकर ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे आसमान अपनी ही ऊर्जा से कंपन कर रहा हो।
I keep coming back to these pictures because they remind me that even on an ordinary Tuesday, something extraordinary can happen right over our heads. We spend so much time looking at our feet or our screens, but the real show is happening up there. This wasn't just a "nice view" it was a moment. If you’d been there, you would’ve been stuck to the spot just like I was.
मैं बार-बार इन तस्वीरों की ओर लौटती हूँ, क्योंकि ये मुझे याद दिलाती हैं कि एक बिल्कुल साधारण मंगलवार को भी हमारे सिर के ठीक ऊपर कुछ असाधारण हो सकता है। हम इतना समय अपने पैरों या अपनी स्क्रीन को देखने में लगा देती हैं, जबकि असली तमाशा तो ऊपर चल रहा होता है। ये सिर्फ़ एक “अच्छा नज़ारा” नहीं था—ये एक पल था। अगर तुम वहाँ होतीं, तो तुम भी मेरी तरह वहीं ठिठक कर रह जातीं।
Sometimes, the world just decides to be beautiful for no reason at all, and I’m just glad I was looking up at the right time.
कभी-कभी दुनिया बिना किसी वजह के बस खूबसूरत होने का फ़ैसला कर लेती है, और मैं बस इस बात के लिए आभारी हूँ कि उस समय मैं ऊपर देख रही थी।
