Taking emotional inventory sounds good, since sometimes we don't take the time to recognize ourselves and know how we have grown or where we continue to fail. This is useful for getting everything out that we carry inside and being a little freer about it, since sometimes it seems that we carry a weight that prevents us from seeing how valuable we are or how we have changed over time. That's why taking time for this is very helpful.

In my emotional inventory, my emotions have been running high lately. Between work stress and stress at home, I have reached a point where everything irritates me and makes me feel bad. so I have become somewhat closed off in showing how I feel, because every time I make a comment or say I don't like something, it seems as if they can't understand me or are bothered by it, which limits my ability to express myself, and it has been chaotic for me to live that way.

Although it's not how you feel, what others say or do often affects you more than you want it to, especially because even though you try to do your part, things don't always turn out the way you want them to in order to feel comfortable with them. That's when I learned that no matter how much external factors affect you, emotions are something that can't always be controlled, and that you shouldn't hide them, but simply know when they should flow and how. I remember that my mother always sought to maintain order and authority with strength, as if nothing were wrong, maintaining a firmness but also a certain harshness that I couldn't understand at the time.

But in the end, I understood that what I was doing was manipulating them so that I could have everything under control, especially because in a home it is not easy to carry out all the tasks, and it often happens that if one person loses control, the others do too. You cannot hide your feelings, you cannot put them aside, you have to express them and respect them, know when to use them and understand that everything is for your own good because if you don't let your feelings flow, life becomes complicated and meaningless, and in the end it takes its toll if we are not able to manage and express what we feel in time, to lead a lighter life without so much entanglement that prevents us from moving forward.
