I hope you're having a good day! Today I'm bringing you a great idea for decorating your room or nightstand. It's a mini living room made with recycled materials from the famous series "Stranger Things." To give you some context, this room appears in the 1ra series and features a wall decorated with the letters of the alphabet and light bulbs that illuminate individually to allow communication with the Upside Down. The main purpose of this wall is for the characters, especially Joyce Byers, to communicate with her son Will when he's trapped in that dark and mysterious dimension, using the light bulbs to form words.
Although I haven't finished watching the entire series, I did watch this season and I really liked it because it kicks off a series of more mysteries to solve, making the viewer want to watch the following seasons 🤭 It's a series full of mystery, a little bit of horror, and romance too. I hope to finish watching it soon since they released the 5th season.
I wanted to recreate this room with the lights and sofa in a mini living room using recycled materials. If you like this series, you'll like this cute craft project. Stick around to see the process with me. Now let's get to the materials!

The first step I took was to cut the sides of the box and the front, leaving the sides cut and the part that would be our living room wall. I used a ruler to mark the box and, with a piece of black cardstock I had, I placed it on the back of the box and covered it. I let it dry and then proceeded to paint the wall with a floral design. I did this with a piece of burlap fabric that has a texture that gives the wall a vintage touch in the shape of flowers.

As a second step, I made a division in the middle part a little below my box and proceeded to mark to paint in brown what will be part of the living room wall. I cut a rectangle that will be the floor, or the base, and painted it skin color to then proceed to place it with silicone.

I took pieces of colored foam and cut out tiny light bulbs with scissors, which will be the bulbs for the hanging lights. To make the pendant, I will use brown thread and, with the help of my black permanent marker and on a surface that won't stain, I will paint the nylon. I cut three strands approximately 6 cm long. Once I painted them, I will glue the light bulbs separately, placing one of each color on each strand of thread. Then we will draw the letters of the alphabet on the wall.

Finally, we'll place the pendant lights among the letters and add the other details like the sofa, the small table with the books, the lamp, and the frame with a photograph. We'll do this with small pieces of cardboard that we have left over. We'll glue them and paint them according to the colors of each object in the series. We'll place each piece in its place, and with this, we'll finish the living room.
