Never have I been kicked in the head, for which I am grateful, but I have been kicked in the ass more than a few times. It absolutely brings about an attitude adjustment and I am better for having received them. Most came from my parents and were undoubtedly deserved 😆
Yep, those kickings certainly help thought and progression and I've had a few as well. Adversity, getting kicked in the head and the dick, has been something I've had to deal with but I rose up, dusted off and kept on going; the alternative seemed less constructive.
Well you've dealt with them well, it's helped to make you..you! Sometimes alternatives are not a valid option, eh?
That's right, I think I have although without giving away too much, it's sometimes brought me to a point from which I'd not find my way back.
But you arrived at those pivotal points in the past and did come back. Monumental feats in and of themselves.
Thank you. I believe we are all capable of overcoming great tragedy, adversity and even our own self doubt, one just has to make an effort and do the right things.
It would be great if more folks beleived in themselves instead of sabotaging their own efforts. They just take the easy way out and say 'I can't'
That's true. Laziness, lack of self-belief, hubris and ego? Not sure, but it it all culminates in a life of less when a small shift could furnish them with more - I don't necessarily mean material things here.
A Life Of Less - sounds like the title of a really terrible self-help book. Sadly, it would be on the 'must read' list for so many
