What has been you biggest "kick in the head" and how did you learn from it?

I only mention one thing that I remember because some people hit me on the head from time to time. Once, before I started working in our local funeral society, a group of people in the village told me not to join it and that it would not work. Especially since most people, except for a few, would not be members of a funeral society. Although progress was slow in the first month, within three months, thanks to the strength I gained from the pain of being hit on the head, a large number of people in the area joined our society.
