But it's still a leap of faith, who knows if suicide will release from the suffering. Maybe that's how a persons suffers start.

This is true, it could be. Or, it could be fade to black and there is nothing else. It could be that there is a god that punishes those who chose to suffer instead of find peace for themselves. Who knows. It is all faith based, nothing is known.
