No matter how "reshaped" a society might be, discussing about Science, Politics and (or) Religion is a dead end.

Well... At this very moment in our society, that is all that matters (which is quite sad and worrisome, to be honest).
Well the sad part is the algorithm that push you that content. But think about it. If nobody talked about it, it will also be harmful because after all, beliefs are meant to be discussed. Otherwise you are just a robot.
But it always happens, no matter the topic. A good example is basketball.. most of the talk is warped by the Lebron vs Jordan discussion. Nobody cares about this year champion or next year champion. EVERYBODY is just constantly arguing why Lebron is the best or why Jordan is better..... Is just trying.
What I meant to say was:
The problem isn't talking (after all, maintaining contact is a fundamental human need; given that we are naturally sociable creatures) but rather, how we talk about these kinds of subjects.
Agree, you should always be aware of that and remove yourself from toxic exchanges that don't produce anything useful. I recently wrote an article about the toxicity of the algorithm and how can AI tame and filter the information to get what's actually useful.

Could the problem be certainty rather than science, politics, or religion themselves
You get, because once certainty replaces curiosity, meaningful conversation becomes much harder
