That didn't help, just said the hardware was from China, and the software was from the Netherlands. No info on battery chemistry or configuration.
I'm curious because batteries tend to be the worst possible way to store utility grade energy.
Well you would have to ask the people on the project. There are some massive battery installations around the world. I know there are some alternatives, but batteries are improving. What do you see as the options?
Water storage is the easiest and cheapest, heat storage is a close second.
Do you mean pumped water storage? That needs a lot of space and there are some instances in the UK. Not sure about heat. Companies will do what is viable.
