The @stayout.bot has in the last 5 weeks (=since it´s existence) distributed 420 "welcome" messages to users on their first posts. 83 of which have created a second post since then. Not ideal but better than nothing.

or... they just see @stayout in the notifs and are too scared to open it, since Hive is the only platform that doesn't give a summary in the notifs themselves. They have to open it first and may not
How is that relevant? Just offering another perspective. I've rebranded a couple times and have not become regular here, but I originally signed up on Steemit in 2016 and had almost 500 followers on my original account.
Good examples of first impression is wrong, either with your follower no. or a name of a bot. Hive is for people who look beyond the surface.
