Some exist, but only for low energy requests, like sensors. But not yet for energy-hungry devices like phones. The "safe" versions are not yet powerful enough (and the powerful ones not safe 😀).
I see. If they felt reasonably safe, and there would be recycling spots for them available (you cannot just trash these), I wouln't mind using them.
some emit beta radiation only and that is already covered enough by the aluminum hull, and they could last for 50 years! Quite promising.
Well, anything that would work for a one week long hike without charging would be great for starters ;) There are mountain routes you have to go with an offline map, or a dedicated GPS, phones don't last.
