From google's stats, we are really close to 50% IPv6 adoption. Just a few eyeball ISPs adopting it/companies enabling it on their employee networks and we'll cross it. Or the people at home who disable it enabling it, or equipment defaulting it to on.

There's some real sticklers who aren't happy with letters in their IP addresses(even though it's just a representation of it and good old IPv4 can be represented in hex too).

They could have gone a bit more wide, so people could eliminate DNS and rely on the fricking IP as a unique name too!!! Would solve so many problems…

:P Encoding info on ips got easier. Or if your company name is facebook, you can encode faceb00c into all your public facing ips.
