Went to a firefighter memorial/museum yesterday. This piece of steel from the 9/11 wreckage was there. Kind of moving to see an actual piece of the towers. I've got to go to the NYC memorial one day. Last time I was there, a few years after 2001, it was just a hole in the ground, a construction site.

Anyone else struggle with whether to keep all your HP and manually vote or delegate out to others? I love the idea of passive income, but it feels so much better to vote for people, even if it's not worth much. I'll call it my little part of being authentic.
In my opinion I think manually voting needs to be done by everyone to some degree. I understand that some have time constraints but it is an integral part of what the Hive experience is. That being said I also delegate some HP to other projects all in the hope of growing my HP.
What are some of the projects that you've found to give the best returns on delegated HP? I'm always curious to learn what's doing well in the market.
Of course, I always want to help projects that are doing well for #hive too!

Yeah, I realized real quick how much typing it would take to explain everything. lol. I figured the gitbook was close and if they had any other questions after they did some research, I'd point them to Discord and you.
Sounds pretty spot-on to me. Maybe I'll delegate some back out when I have a bit more available. I'm really looking forward to getting a 100% vote to .01 as a short-term goal. Hopefully back to .1 without having to spend years to get there.

Yup... I've debated delegating some of my HP quite often. But ultimately, I don't mind missing out on max EV if I'm able to control the curation manually and upvote articles and snaps that catch my attention.
Yeah, saving the votes for content I actually appreciate sounds like my preference as well.
Used to have such struggles previously until I decided to keep my stake and vote until I have much enough HP to delegate. I also want to keep my curation rewards as HP for further growth.

Ok hive frens! What’s the difference between the snaps, threads, waves and moments?
It depends on what front-end you are on -- Waves started with Ecency, Moments with Liketu, Threads with Leo, and Snaps with PeakD, although you actually can access Waves from Snaps and Snaps in its own community on Ecency, too!
Different Hive front ends, yet they all work the same. They are all Hive comments. Each one puts out s container post (just a post) and Hivers comment tob that post. The front end arranges them to look like chats. You can see them in other front ends though or explorers.

It does look similar to pines and other species from around the Pacific Northwest. This was in Puerto Rico, so I'm not ready to make the species connection. I was so focused on that bark, I forgot to take a picture of the whole tree for later IDing. :D

Today I tried a completely new dish and it was amazingly delicious: Schweizer Wurstsalat (English: Swiss Sausage Salad), but as a vegetarian version. The sausage was simply replaced with tofu (not eternal 😂).
I know this long time, it is delicious.
In the south of germany we have the normal Wurstsalat (without cheese) and then the one with cheese.
It's sometimes fun to experiment with new dishes and replace some ingredients with something else just to taste the difference. Sometimes, I do think that cooking is a discovery sport :)

I would search the Communities section for photography -- there are a bunch of them -- and see what fits best. I work my photos in with my writing most often, so I wouldn't know how to find the perfect photo-only group.
Tolerably well ... consistent work and engagement pays off on Hive ... when I join a new community, I try to connect with four people already posting there for every post I make, and also I observe the rule that even a single photo does better with 200 words about it -- can be an explanation of how it was taken, or a story inspired by it.
You should go :) People come from all over the globe, if you live just a few thousand kilometers far, and need no visa, stop by! :)

The place is buzzing. If it's not necessary, I try to avoid such areas lol and take a different route when possible.
It's even better now that the roads are dualized. Was worse when the roads were not good.
The traders are beginning to encroach on the road again.
With the traders, it's their safety that I'm sometimes worried about. It seems very risk for them to be so close to the road.
They're used to it anyway. Accidents have happened but they still choose to encroach on the road.

Yeah, there's nothing like getting bit up in DECEMBER by the hardy crew of mosquitoes when winter weather is running late but there was big rain for few days in a warm OCTOBER and none since... not last year, thankfully, but trust me, the local mosquitoes are trying to break all the rules...

I feel like Snaps suffers from a lot of what Hive does at times, just in a faster manner ... people come excited, don't feel much excitement and connection, and leave, just having not persevered long enough to see the benefits. It is a sadly familiar pattern.
Fair enough but is the perseverance helping on snaps. I know it does on long form but here I don't think it's as true
It depends on your sense of how long. It took me a YEAR to break through on long form. Here I use a strategy I developed and recommend to others now: four or more solid comments on others' posts for each post of my own, working every day or every other day. It still took a while...
I just had a look the earnings are super low here even for the top snap earners and also engagement is usually not great either
I suppose because I started in a bear market, consistency though with little strikes me as a workable path ... with Hive so long below $1, the earnings and the engagement are low across the board, and it cannot be brute forced upward. We do not seem to have a marketing plan for chattier people, so I talk to the ones who are here and engage with the newbies when I see them!
Need to have more unity and direction across the chain between dapps I get we decentralized but doesn't mean we can't try to work together

Our squirrel loves rambutan, a lychee like fruit with a thick soft spiked red peel. He could smell the treasure in our bag. Before we could crack the peel he grabbed the fruit and ran!! In the end he feasted!!

I was listening to Cal Newport's podcast from last week about this. I agree, content NEEDS to be thought out by people. Not only because it needs to be genuine, but because of what kind of laziness we are developing due to LLMs.

I just upgraded Fina(lly) Voxom to Level 2! That's a big upgrade, one melee attack on top and the Pierce ability.
Fina is so strong and that pierce ability is such a huge benefit to her opportunity ability!
