There's a dam just around that bend in the river so it's not quite the free flowing river the ancients were use to seeing. It is a big 1200 mile long river though and at this point it is about 100 plus miles from meeting the ocean.

Quite long as well. So much water.

History unfolds before our eyes. Thank you for sharing.

It's fun to stand there and try to imagine what it was like a 1000 years ago.
