This bench carved from a section of log. "Otter be Fishing" by J Chester Armstrong dedicated to the memory of Andrew Dutterer a big advocate for Oregon's watersheds.

Beautiful craftmanship. I like that it looks like a single block of wood.

The origin of the Ponderosa pine he used is a pretty cool story. If they had to take down a tree at least they put it to good use. :)

That's a pretty old tree. It's too bad they had to take it down. There are two things that might start a riot here, 1) losing a hockey game and 2) cutting down old trees 😄
