I can't even describe how disappointing that scene in Christopher Nolan's movie adaptation was.

Really? Sirens are so straightforward. Half fish and half beautiful lady. 😂 I haven't seen the film, so I was hoping for some great Siren action at least.

The original sirens were depicted as hybrid creatures, with the head or torso of a woman and the body of a bird.
You're right. The original conception in Greek myth is a bird. I guess it was more like a modern harpy. Homer doesn't describe physical appearance, but the theme should be carried as the Greeks conceptualized it at the time the story was written.
I haven't seen the film, so I was hoping for some great Siren action at least.
They are barely shown. It’s a very frustrating scene.
