Sure, but mine are inclosed in a 3x3 fence. Otherwise, they eat all my ornamental plants in the terrace.
We've had to block off the flowers my son Ricky planted. You're right they eat just about anything. I've noticed they don't like the big black/red grasshoppers and certain months. They love luna moths!
