Some of my Canadian friends have expressed concern the US might invade. Don't they know their own history? It didn't go well the last time the US tried that. The Canucks burned down the White House in response.

They should be much more worried about the invasion of our culture and ideals, which is already turning their country inside out.
Which culture? The US is hardly homogeneous. They could use more our individualist libertarianism, and less progressive authoritarianism.
I was mostly referring to our culture of progressive authoritarianism, though our culture of entitlement is also a rot that tries to get out.
Actually it was the British who did that in 1814

Actually, most of the "British" were in fact Canadians. The majority of the British military was occupied with European affairs.
