Same here. Even with its flaws, I think it's a movie worth watching at least once and I even wrote a review about it after watching it
I feel you and what you said is a big concern because sometimes knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing how to continue a story.
It delivered enough to be enjoyable, even if it didn't quite reach the level I was hoping for.
