With chess talent it is even more crazy. Currently 3 out of the top 7 ranked players are from India!
Is it not even crazier that one of the top 10 is from norway? They are only ~0.0007% of the total population
They are a huge source of talents, and many of people do care about formal education there. No wonder India has its own spacce program.

Russia, but there are sanctions on the country from the chess world federation, so the players are not allowed to be shown with the Russian flag (which is totally stupid if you ask me)!
