Another French city with such a rich history; Orléans.
The city Jeanne d'Arc freed from the English in the middle ages.
I will surely make a blog about this later!
Also:
I got to see her golden statue in Paris, then the same one in Philly a few weeks later. One of the greatest figures of history.
And people say that history didn't have powerful and impactful women! There's plenty of 'em!
Jeanne D'Arc was a BOSS. There was an awesome PSP game by that same name that did some alternate history / Tactical JRPG set around her life, and it was INCREDIBLE.
It was completely fictitious, but it was so good, and it isn't just nostalgia talking. A friend played it for the first time this year, and he absolutely loved it.
I didn't know a lot about the story of Jeanne d'Arc, so I listened to a podcast about her on the way here.
Very interesting.
Looking forward to that blog. Based from what I read online, Orléans has such a fascinating past!
