California Poppies ... not actual poppies, but they resemble poppies in shape and bloom timing ... one of the loveliest spring (and autumn) things in San Francisco... this set has a "child" that escaped the planter box to the street!

Greetings @deeanndmathews ,

These are lovely flowers....thank you.

Here's hoping you picked the escapee.

Wishing you a 'Happy Easter'....every day.

Cheers, Bleujay

I didn't ... they die so quickly once picked ... so delicate ... and YES, we celebrate the Resurrection EVERY DAY!

Those are beautiful! I really love orange flowers for some reason.

California poppies are the gold in the hills of San Francisco in the spring, with yellow oxalis preceding them in the late winter ... they are utterly glorious, and there is not much orange to meet them, so they should be loved!

I didn't know about this variety and it's so beautiful.

They are a wildflower of Northern California ... haven't seen them many other places ... they are delicate and do not pick or transport well ... but I snapped the photo and then snapped them here so we all can enjoy!

Got it, thanks for sharing.

I think the one that escaped just wanted to be free and explore the world.

Perhaps so ... that is a busy enough street, near a busy enough corner!
