It also encourages people posting the exact same thing on snaps, waves and threads, effectively rewarding people for the same content three times, which is not acceptable imo
I haven't the energy for that these days. I used to do that, posting to all platforms - nowadays, just one at a time :-)
It is not worth it to people like us, but for others in less fortunate financial situations, it is an appealing exploit

Does it though? I mainly get a lot of farming comments. The ones that genuinely engage are the same as on my posts. I personally prefer quality over quantity, and I have the feeling that CR provokes the opposite.
That’s a fair point… quality engagement definitely matters most. I guess it’s all about finding that balance between fun incentives and genuine conversations.
I think CR only pays out rewards if a comment got an upvote, so I scan through the comments, see what feels genuine, and what not. I also compare to the UV that I got. Those who comment and UV will always get an UV for their comment, too. Not perfect, but something.

It is a very benefit tool that promotes good engagement. I don't like it when I see same post on waves and snaps thought. I make sure to post different pictures and not just copy and paste same to the different frontends.
